Pinagdanlayan Multi-Purpose Cooperative
Pinagdanlayan Multi-purpose Cooperative started in 1992 through Php 1,000 pesos contribution of 141 incorporators for capitalization which intended for lending and hog fattening business. Just as the same with other organizations, PMPC had its rock bottom wherein it was under mismanagement in 1998 until 2002.

Due to insufficient funds, PMPC sought assistance from financing institutions in which UCPB-CIIF Finance and Development Corporation was the first that trusted and financed the cooperative worth Php 5 million.

Through new management and persistence to recover its losses and develop the operations, the goal was to secure accreditations from institutions in the industry. From cooperative’s small win through loans from UCPB-CIIF Finance and Development Corporation, Department of Trade and Industry’s engagement, to innovation of its resources.

Coffee farming is highly known in Barangay Pinagdanlayan and in fact, it is one of the producers of coffee beans in Lipa, Batangas. Thus, PMPC initiated its coffee production in that was recognized by Department of Agriculture and granted them its coffee roasting facility in 2018. While PMPC continued loans and lending management that even Land Bank of the Philippines helped them in their financing, the cooperative was able to receive certification from ACDI/VOCA-USDA and take over the water system management of Barangay Pinagdanlayan in 2019. Now, the cooperative offers multiple livelihood programs within the community of Dolores and Barangay Pinagdanlayan in pursuit of the cooperative’s purposes and responsibilities.
